A Big Thank-You to my past brides and grooms for recommending me to their friends and families for their celebrations.

May is shaping up to be a busy month and so much fun; remember to book early, especially if your chosen time for your ceremony is 3pm on a Saturday - as I don't like to disappoint.  I am a full-time celebrant so I am available to conduct your ceremony - early morning, midnight, week days - any time that you wish.

  Sunday 13.5.12:  Jane and Sebastian were wed at Kawana Beach with perfect beach weather,  They had a Warming of the Rings celebration.  Creative Jane made her veil jewellery and her bouquets from antique buttons.  Fabulous photos of these on my facebook page.

Saturday 12.5.12 - Bev gathered up her 'something old, something new;  something borrowed, something blue' from her birthday guests. Bev and Mal surprised their guests by marrying during her 'Hawaiian themed' birthday party celebrations.

Feedback from Bev and Mal:  Kay was brilliant. It was a surprise wedding for our guests, and Kay got there an hour earlier and blended in with all our friends and family and posed as our neighbour.The night was Hawaiian themed and Kay looked great. She patiently waited over a hour for an important member of our family to turn up. She handled the noisy well wishes easily throughout the ceremony and the night was perfect.

How can services be improved or what can be added to service?:Do not change a thing. The night was "PERFECT" Thanks again Kay.    

Saturday 12.5.12 - Mel's afternoon wedding to Rob was bathed in autumn  sunshine.  Their ceremony included a Wishing Stone celebration.

Feedback from Mel and Rob: What did you like? everything.....awesomely kind, helpful, good sense of humour. Would not have had anyone marry us!

 Saturday 12.5.12 - Andrew married Hayley in a pretty garden setting on their family property. Hayley dedicated a poem to her family for their love and support.  The trees were connected by hundreds of metres of vintage bunting - a beautiful touch.

Sunday 6.5.12 - Constance and Chester wed in a pretty garden setting.  Chester read a poem to his lovely bride.

Feedback from Chester and Constance:  The comprehensive service saved us lots of troubles. The wedding plan was great and brilliant which eased our stress. 10/10

 Congrats to all these loving families...I do meet some very lovely people!

My philosophy about my role as a celebrant is That it's About You...

My wish is to be your Life Celebrant - the one who you call on to assist you and your family, in celebrating all of your life's events. I encourage you to become a Life Events member, and receive ongoing bonuses. 

I have a range of Wedding ceremony Packages:  your choice - Absolutely No Fuss, Short + Sweet and Elaborate.

I aim to capture the essence of you - what makes you special, and then include your uniqueness into your ceremony; whether it is a wedding, a renewal of vows or the naming of your children.

This is why each one of my ceremonies is different.

About Kay Franks - Civil Marriage Celebrant 

I have been a civil marriage celebrant for 6 years, and a JP for over 30 years. I have been married for 30+ years and have 4 great children…..and yes, we were married by a celebrant.

For the past decade, I have worked in the social planning & community development field with a degree in town planning. I love working with people, and especially enjoy the company and humour of young people.

In 2009, I decided I enjoyed being a celebrant so much, I would become a full time celebrant. So now I am  available for your ceremony, including your wedding ceremony,  on 365 days of the year. I am flexible and can facilitate ceremonies daytime or evening – any day of the week, including public holidays.

Living in Queensland all of my life, I have a close affinity with nature and bush settings and beach weddings are my specialty. However I am just at home in a formal setting or a chapel or a venue . See my favourite places and mementos.

I have offices in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast, and in Kedron, Brisbane.

Life Events Ceremonies

Some of the Ceremonies that I do...

Whatever your life event, I offer personalised ceremonies for the kaleidoscope of changes and milestones throughout life. As an accredited civil marriage celebrant, I am able to conduct weddings in Australia. I also do the naming of children, commitments and renewal of vows, including same-sex ceremonies. I offer Celebrations of Life (funerals) ceremonies and may be contacted directly for these, whilst collaborating with your chosen Funeral Director to create a personalised service.

Also available are croning ceremonies for our worldly and wise women. Croning ceremonies are a wonderful way of acknowledging the wisdom and life experience of our matriarchs, whilst having fun at the same time!!

Other events includeboat launching and office/house warmings – anything you wish to acknowledge or celebrate!

Ceremonies can be conducted in your choice of setting ~ from northern New South Wales, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast and their hinterlands, Caboolture and in the Greater Brisbane area including the Ipswich region. I can travel further with a negotiated travel fee.

These partnerships enable me to keep up with the latest legal requirements and to bring fresh ideas into my ceremonies. From Jason and Jenn who had their ceremony in a spiritual garden - curtains, waterfalls and statutes made it magicial!

We had an amazing time with Kay, we had no stress or worries, and we only gave her about 7 weeks notice to organise the whole thing! She also checked up on us through that time to see if we needed any help with anything. The ceremony went beautifully, and everyone asked where we had found Kay, as she did such a fantasic job! Thank-you so much Kay!
