Botanic Gardens Brisbane

Botanic Gardens, Brisbane City, is a top spot for your ceremony. It has a choice of places - Morning Star Lawn, Wedding Lawn, Rainforest Hideaway....See map.

Botanic Gardens and JC Slaughter Falls at Mt Coot-tha are popular for wedding and commitment ceremonies. The serene Zen Gardens is a peaceful place for your ceremony. See map.

Brisbane Weddings: Parks

Brisbane has a number of beautiful parks located along its winding river: Captain Burke Park is one of the popular parks located at Kangaroo Point - picturesque views. Popular early mornings and on weekends. Other parks include Kangaroo Point Park and River Terrace Park. See map.

Kurilpa Point Park, South Brisbane - incredible river views. Kurilpa Point Point is a fun park located right on the river at West End. Very popular with families for naming ceremonies; and of course for weddings. See map.

New Farm Park, New Farm - fabulous rotunda. Historical rotunda located in New Farm Park, New Farm. The park is smothered in roses most of the year. A picturesque place located near some great eating places, such as the Powerhouse. See map.

Guyatt Park, St Lucia. Be eco-conscious and arrive by ferry to your wedding. This park has an attractive viewing platform by the river suitable for your ceremony. Great BBQ areas. See map.

Newstead Park, Newstead - has one of Queensland's best known heritage homes. Heritage listed Newstead House is located in Newstead Park on the Brisbane River. A beautiful rotunda is perfect for your wedding, beside the river.

Roma Street Parklands - choice of many fantastic places for your ceremony: marriage, namings. You may wish to choose a spot by the fabulous waterfalls.

Walkabout Creek Function Centre in Brisbane Forest Park has a natural chapel. Incorporate the sounds of nature and the picturesque scenery into your ceremony .See map.

Parkland along side the Brisbane River at Teneriffe is the perfect spot for your wedding. Close by Eves on the River is a great place for coffee and for your reception. See map.

The Ship Inn in the Southbank Parklands is a fantastic place for your ceremony. Great friendly staff - tell them I recommended them! See map.

Across from the Roma Street Parklands is the beautiful Panarama Room in the Urban Hotel. Great place to include the night lights into your ceremony. See map.

Cedar Creek Lodge Thunderbird Park Mt Tamborine Gold Coast hinterland

Cedar Creek Lodge and its Thunderbird Park, in the Tamborine Mountains, is a perfect place for your wedding and reception. Ceremony area and reception area are nestled in a beautiful bushland setting, along with rippling water and walkway. Guests can stay on site. See map.

Chambers Island Maroochydore Sunshine Coast

Located in the Maroochy River is the beautiful Chambers Island. Early mornings can find it covered by a menagerie of birdlife! A photographer’s dream when it is misted over. Areas can be submerged when it is high tide. See map.

Cotton Tree Maroochydore Sunshine Coast

This special place is located on the Maroochy River mouth. It is close to some of the coast's best restaurants: Ba Vigo, Yabbies & the Boat Shed. I have a number of clear brollies for the wedding party, if it rains. Jumping off the groynes is a tradition of the area. Pelicans often join the wedding guests, waiting for a feed. Parking is available in the nearby council car park for the wedding party & guests.

Harbour Wedding

Are you dreaming of your wedding on a beautiful boat on the harbour? Sun glistening on the calm water, gentle breeze, surrounded by family and friends, with the love of your life by your side - and of course, me as your celebrant. Queensland has some top spots from which to choose. Picture-perfect Mooloolaba harbour on the Sunshine Coast, Pacific Harbour on Bribie Island, Hope Island harbour on the Gold Coast, and of course, Brisbane's vibrant South Bank and Bretts Wharf. All are surrounded by the best of restaurants for your reception and there is some magnificant scenery for your photo taking. See map.

Balinese flags flutter in the ocean breeze in this picturesque setting. Located at Miami on the Gold Coast this would have to be one of the most beautful parks for a beach ceremony. A photographer's dream! See map.

Suttons Beach: the beautiful Sails at Suttons Beach Redcliffe is a great place for a beach wedding. Bramble Bay provides a picturesque background with its golden sand and its crystal blue waters. There are many rotundas along the beachside - perfect for your wedding ceremony.

Rustic Cabin at Glenview, (now Daisys), Sunshine Coast Queensland

This is a fantastic place for a ceremony - indoor around the fireplace, or outdoor in its own natural setting; complete with rippling water. The staff are terrific and helpful, and the food is yum. Ample parking and it is easy to find on Steve Irwin Way at Palmview, Sunshine Coast. See map.
